It doesn't look like I'll be making any trips to Death Valley in the near future, so I was glad to see that you had posted photos on your website. Was it worth the journey?

It was well worth the journey if you like the desert. Death Valley and the Panamint Valley next to it are two of the few deserts left. (In my mind, if it is no longer deserted it is no longer a desert.) If we had planned in advance we could have stayed at Furnace Creek instead of Ridgecrest. That would have made the trip even more enjoyable.
