The Blue Ridge
Yesterday, the Sage of Indiana (SOI) commented on my mention of the Blue Ridge. Here it is, taken from the site of the now defunct Staunton Military Academy. It's looking blue. The sky is looking gray. Taken on April 24, 2005.

"The Ode De La Shenandoah"
The call of Jefferson's Blue Ridge mountains. The smell of pine needles in the air. The sight of miles upon miles of mountaneous layers of peaks and valleys. From the Shenandoah of our ancestors to the modern escape of Sky Line Drive, this is simply too much to resist. The Commonwealth has no peer in this land of bounty when it comes to the total package of rest and relaxation of body and mind. Ah...the tranquil effects of the Blue Ridge range. (Add your own music & sound effects for the full benefit.) SOI
