Back from Alaska

That's my son John and me.  We're hugging some Silver Salmon (AKA Coho Salmon) that we caught in a remote wilderness lake.  We flew in arriving at 9 in the morning and left at 1:30 PM.  This is one of the most wild and beautiful places I have seen.

The photo was take on the next to the last day of a 7 day trip.  We fished many creeks and rivers and caught a lot of fish.  On my best day I caught four Rainbow Trout over 20 inches in length and dozens of smaller ones.  We stayed at the Kenai River Raven B&B, owned and run by my old friend Dick Erkeneff from McDonnell Douglas days.
