Joyce Scott

Joyce Scott visited yesterday. I had not seen her since we lived in Long Beach twenty-five years ago. To remind you of the connection:

My grandmother Gertrude Moule had two daughters from her first marriage. One of those daughters was Louise who married Rudy Miesel. They had two sons, Don and Ross. Joyce was Ross's wife. After Ross died, she married Ted Scott.

Joyce is retired. She spends one day a week volunteering as a career guidance counselor but otherwise spends her time traveling and with her children.

She gave me this photo. It was taken in the Sierras, probably near her son's home in the Mammoth/June Lake area.

Reunion

Katherine and her sisters have a short reunion every year. This year it was in San Francisco. The photo shows Katherine's sister Elizabeth on the left and Margaret on the right. They are standing on Post Street, waiting for Gump's department store to open. The weather was not cooperating. It was overcast and gloomy every day.
