The Advantage of Rain

This old royal residence is on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Unusually heavy rains fell the afternoon before our visit. That lead to a rare photographic opportunity.

Kat on Camel

This is the photo we have all been waiting for (or dreading as the case may be). Location: the Sahara Desert in Morocco. By chance, we visited the desert just after the heaviest rains in years had fallen. So, instead of bright sun we had puffy clouds.

When this picture was taken, we were re-mounting our camels to ride back to camp for breakfast after seeing the sunrise from the top of a high dune.

Liz and Blue Man

We are back from Morocco. Our daughter Liz joined us. Here she is bargaining for some cloth from a roadside trader.
